What is the P-SHOT?
The P-Shot is an FDA-approved medical procedure for treating erectile dysfunction (ED) that is available to people of all ages. Despite ED being more commonly associated with older men, it is a condition that affects men of all ages, with a prevalence that generally increases with age. For instance, 30% of men in their 30s experience ED, while the percentage rises to 40% for those in their 40s, and so on. Interestingly, while the “P” in P-Shot may seem to refer to the penis, the name actually originates from ancient Greek mythology. The doctors who developed the treatment named it after Priapus, the Greek god of agriculture and fertility. Fertility of the soil was associated with fertility of the womb, which is why the P-Shot was given its name. It provides men with the opportunity to restore their youthful vitality in the bedroom.
P-SHOT CONTAINS
The Priapus Shot is derived entirely from the human body using its own fluids. Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is injected directly into the body to rejuvenate it.

PRP PLATELET-RICH PLASMA
PRP is an abbreviation for Platelet-Rich Plasma, which contains two key components that are naturally present in the bloodstream: Platelets and Plasma. Plasma, which is the fluid portion of blood, plays a vital role in transporting various cells throughout the body, including platelets. These tiny cells play a significant role in the body’s healing process. The “rich” in PRP refers to the high concentration of platelets in the injection, which can trigger special healing processes in the body. This innovative treatment can rejuvenate the body in ways previously unknown, effectively hacking the body’s natural healing mechanisms. Making of PRP
PRP’s ease of production is one of its most appealing features. It does not require complex laboratory procedures or donor selection criteria. Instead, the only requirement is fresh blood from the patient, referred to as the autologous donor. After drawing the blood from the arm, it is placed in a centrifuge that separates the blood components by density. The process produces platelets and plasma, while the red and white blood cells, along with excess plasma, are returned to the body to prevent feelings of fatigue or dizziness. PRP treatment can be administered to smaller individuals who may not meet regular blood donor criteria since it is produced from one’s own blood. The centrifugation cycle is repeated until the sufficient amount of PRP is obtained for the intended area of treatment. The freshly-prepared PRP is then injected via a syringe, and the entire process is quick, painless, and lasts for only 15 to 20 minutes.
FUNCTION OF PRP IN THE BODY
PRP capitalizes on the additional functions of platelets. Although their primary role is to facilitate blood clotting and promote wound healing, platelets have other important functions once the bleeding has stopped. COMPLETELY SAFE TREATMENT
PRP treatment for ED is completely safe, unlike surgical options which come with potential risks. With surgery, there is a risk of complications from anesthesia, but PRP treatment eliminates that concern. Since PRP is obtained from the patient’s own body, there is no risk of rejection, allergic reactions, or contamination. On the other hand, vascular reconstructive surgery is a highly invasive procedure that entails redirecting arteries to enhance blood flow to the penis and necessitates an extended recovery period. Similarly, implantable devices that facilitate erection are effective but necessitate complex insertion procedures, and any difficulties during installation may require additional corrective surgeries.

Most ED or premature ejaculation treatments have some kind of trade-off. This is true of every surgical procedure and pharmaceutical solution. Inevitably, these kinds of solutions have some negative side effects that cause damage to your body. Whether it’s the scars of surgery or the side effects of a pill, there is some level of sacrifice involved in treating ED through other methods.
